The Pro 7100sl shares many attributes with the 7200 luanched earlier this year
A version of Ricoh's Pro 7200 sheet-fed digital press aimed at inplants and CRDs, the Pro 7200sl, has been introduced.
Offering four colour stations (CMYK) rather than the five of the Pro 7200, the 7200sl is based on the Pro 7100 platform but offers improved registration, increased speed of 85ppm and the ability to auto-duplex long sheets up to 700mm and simplex to 1260mm.
Built to cater primarily for the inplant sector, the new machine has simple booklet finishing and stapling options, rather than the more professional print-for-pay oriented Plockmatic or GBC choices for the 7200 and while it also lacks the auto-registration capability of that model, it 'looks the same, has the same build quality, comes from the same factory and is serviced in exactly the same way as the rest of the 7200 range,' according to Ricoh UK's Gareth Parker.
'The new Pro C7200sl delivers a compelling combination of cost-effective productivity and performance,' added Eef De Ridder, vice president Commercial Printing of the Commercial & Industrial Printing Group at Ricoh Europe. 'With its ability to handle a wide range of print demands and run lengths responsively, it meets the day-to-day demands of busy enterprise print rooms and walk-up environments.'
The Ricoh Pro 7200sl can print on a range of media of up to 360gsm in weight. There's a choice between and EFI Fiery or Ricoh's GWNX print server DFEs. The press is available immediately.
