The Latex R1000 is aimed at growing businesses

Designed for a variety of hybrid applications including sign and display, HP has expanded its Latex R printer series with the R1000 for rigid and flexible printing.

The current series includes the Latex R2000, designed for large-signage print service providers. With the debut of the Latex R1000, HP is expanding its portfolio to offer greater value and versatility while featuring rigid printing technology and white ink.

Aimed at growing businesses, the printer offers a single set of inks for a range of flexible and rigid media including applications for retail, décor, outdoor signage, window graphics, events and exhibitions.

It comes with three litre ink cartridges, compared to the larger model with five litres, and is designed to accommodate materials up to 1.64m wide and 5cm thick.

'Print service providers are looking at new ways to increase production and expand applications by investing in innovative print technologies such as rigid and white ink to embrace all the possibilities of print,' said Joan Pérez Pericot, general manager, Large Format Graphics Business. 'This latest introduction to our Latex R printer series delivers a versatile and innovative print solution for medium-sized businesses to unlock print opportunities and drive growth.'
